Sponsor The Education Of A Child From Poor Family

The Samoon Foundation has been continuously serving humanity for the past 12 years through various social and humanitarian initiatives. One of its key activities has been providing scholarships to meritorious yet underprivileged students and guiding them in their career development. This year, more than 100 students applied for scholarships. After a careful selection process, 40 students were shortlisted in the first phase. All of the selected students come from extremely poor backgrounds and face severe financial hardships. In many cases, the responsibility of raising and supporting the children rests on a single parent. The Foundation aims to provide scholarships to these selected students in the first phase. If sufficient donations are received through generous donors and supporters, scholarships will also be extended to the remaining deserving students in subsequent phases.

No child should be left behind due to financial or social limitations. Therefore, we all should come forward to support the education of underprivileged children in our society. We humbly appeal to all capable and compassionate individuals to contribute according to their abilities and talents for the brighter future of deserving students. Along with supporting their own children, we encourage everyone to help educate at least one more child and thereby play a meaningful role in nation-building.

The estimated annual educational expense for a student studying in a government school has been calculated at ₹3,000. If you wish to support the education of a student, you may contribute ₹3,000 to the Sampoorn Foundation account.

Those interested in sponsoring a specific student may obtain details such as the student's name, address, report card, and contact information from the Samoon Foundation's Rishikesh office. Your support can make a lasting difference in a child's life and future.

The Bhagavad Gita describes several types of charity (donation), among which charity given with a selfless motive and without expecting anything in return is considered the highest form of giving. However, among all forms of charity, the gift of education (Vidya Daan) is regarded as the most noble and superior, as it empowers individuals with knowledge and enables them to build a better future for themselves and society.

The Samoon Foundation provided educational assistance to the three children of Mr. Pramod Vyas, a differently-abled resident of Rishikesh. A cheque of ₹3,000 each was awarded to Niharika (Class 12), Nidhi (Class 11), and Aniruddh (Class 4), amounting to a total assistance of ₹9,000.
Mr. Pramod Vyas, a resident of Dhalwala, Rishikesh, had earned his livelihood by working as a priest and was supporting his family through his profession. However, in 2015, he met with a serious road accident. Although he survived the accident, one side of his body became paralyzed, leaving him unable to continue working and providing for his family.
With the responsibility of educating and raising his three children becoming increasingly difficult, Mr. Vyas sought assistance from the Samoon Foundation. After reviewing his situation, the Foundation extended support by providing a cheque of ₹9,000 to help with the children's educational expenses.

The Foundation expressed its commitment to supporting deserving families and ensuring that children do not miss educational opportunities due to financial hardships.

Arushi and Keshav Dawan, two remarkable siblings from Chilpad Village, Tehri Garhwal, lost their parents at a very young age and faced numerous hardships while growing up. They had been living with their uncle, Mr. Bhim Singh Dawan, who had been taking care of them and supporting their education.
For the past three years, the Samoon Foundation had been providing scholarships to help them continue their studies despite their difficult circumstances.
This year as well, the Foundation provided a scholarship of ₹3,000 each to both students and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting their education in the years ahead.

The Samoon Foundation honored the legacy of a dedicated Uttarakhandi artist who had significantly enriched and preserved the cultural heritage of Uttarakhand. Despite his invaluable contributions to society, his family had been facing neglect and financial hardship.
In support of the family's future, the Foundation extended a helping hand by providing a cheque of ₹11,000 for the education of his children. Through this initiative, the Foundation sought to ensure that the artist's legacy would continue to inspire future generations while helping his children pursue their educational aspirations.
The Foundation also encouraged society to come together in recognizing and preserving Uttarakhand's rich cultural treasures and supporting the families of those who dedicated their lives to safeguarding them.
