Fixing of Tree Guards to Protect Young Trees at ONS Government Degree College, Devprayag, Tehri Garhwal

As part of our commitment to environmental conservation, the Samoon Foundation undertook the initiative of installing tree guards around the saplings planted at ONS Government Degree College, Devprayag, Tehri Garhwal. Our objective was not only to plant trees but also to ensure their protection and proper care until they grew into healthy and mature trees.
To safeguard the young plants from damage caused by grazing animals, sturdy tree guards were installed around the saplings. This step helped create a safe environment for the plants and increased their chances of survival and growth.
In addition, a water pipe was purchased and provided to the volunteers, who were also students of the college. The volunteers took responsibility for watering the plants regularly and monitoring their growth. Their active participation played a significant role in maintaining the plantation site and ensuring the well-being of the saplings
This initiative reflected our belief that tree plantation is only the first step toward environmental protection. The real success lies in nurturing and protecting the planted saplings until they become strong trees that contribute to a greener and healthier environment.
