Continuous heavy rains and landslides across Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pauri, Tehri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, and Dehradun have caused massive destruction, blocking roads and disrupting lives. Many poor families have lost their homes and are forced to live under the open sky. Samoon Foundation is receiving many requests for help and appeals to everyone to stand with these disaster-affected families. Every contribution received will be used only for their relief and rehabilitation, with full transparency shared through the organization’s website and social media.

From Dharali in Uttarkashi to Tharali in Chamoli, and now again from Nandnagar, moving across Pauri, Tehri, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, and Dehradun, continuous heavy rains and landslides have created scenes of complete devastation, leaving life totally disrupted.

With roads blocked in several places, relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts for the affected families are facing severe challenges. Samoon Foundation too is continuously receiving a large number of requests for assistance from disaster-affected and needy families.

Just imagine how a poor family works tirelessly day and night to build a home of their own, but one spell of torrential rain sweeps away their dream house. Today, many such families are forced to live under the open sky or have taken refuge in nearby places, having lost everything to this disaster.

In such a time, when these families have lost all they had, if we can stand with them in their grief and extend even a little support, it will not only be a help but also our duty as a service to humanity to be there for our people.

Samoon Foundation appeals to various institutions and donors: Let us all unite and give new hope, support, and courage to some of these most affected families. The Samoon family assures you that every contribution we receive will be used solely for the rehabilitation of the most affected and needy families.

You can send your support amount to the following Samoon account. Every single rupee received in the Samoon account will be transparently shared with you all through the organization’s website and social media, ensuring accountability and trust.

Emergency Light Distribution by Samoon Foundation in Kainturi Village Under the leadership of Shri Manoj Bisht Ji, the Samoon Foundation team reached Kainturi village in Chamoli district, one of the worst-affected areas of the recent disaster, on 24th September 2025 and distributed emergency lights to the affected families. When our team interacted with the villagers and prepared a list of their most urgent needs, emergency lights were highlighted as the top priority. Villagers explained that during the pitch-dark nights, having light is essential to sense any possible danger in time and remain alert. Responding immediately to this request, Samoon Foundation distributed emergency lights to the affected families and assured continued support in the coming days. This initiative was made possible only through the contributions of Samoon family members and generous donors, to whom we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Together, let’s bring hope and courage to these families during their difficult times.

Samoon Foundation Continues Relief Efforts in Kainturi Village, Chamoli. The Samoon Foundation once again visited Kainturi village in Chamoli district, one of the areas most affected by the recent disaster. Many families here are still struggling to recover from the losses. During this visit, the Foundation team distributed new clothes to children, women, and elders, bringing them comfort, warmth, and happiness. The smiles on their faces reflected the hope and relief this small effort brought to their lives. This distribution drive was successfully completed with the support of the local village Pradhan and the cooperation of the community members. Their active participation made the event meaningful and well-organized. The Samoon Foundation expresses heartfelt thanks to all donors and well-wishers whose generosity made this effort possible. Together, we will continue to stand with the affected families and spread kindness, hope, and care in every corner of the hills.
