On the occasion of Harela, Samoon Foundation organized a plantation drive in Shivpuri, Tehri Garhwal in collaboration with the Forest Department and local community.

As part of its annual tradition, Samoon Foundation celebrated Uttarakhand’s traditional festival Harela by organizing a tree plantation drive under its ongoing campaign “Our Bond with Trees” on 16th July 2025 at Shivpuri (near Rishikesh).

The plantation event was held in collaboration with the Forest Department, school students, local residents, and district officials.

The objective was not just to plant trees, but to treat their growth as a shared social responsibility — encouraging community participation in nurturing each sapling until it becomes a full-grown tree.

In the face of climate change and global warming, planting and protecting even a single tree can be the simplest yet most effective step towards a better future.
