It is the duty of every citizen to plant at least one tree in their lifetime and take care of it until it grows into a mature tree. Today, we often cut down trees for our own needs, but we forget to plant new ones in their place. This is one of the main reasons why the problem of global warming has become so severe and alarming today.
Members of the Samoon Parivar consider tree plantation their responsibility and maintain a strong bond with nature through the “Trees Are Our Lifeline” campaign. Every year, with the support of local communities, they plant 1,000 saplings and encourage villagers and students to care for them until they grow into mature trees. The members of Sampoorn Parivar also work actively to raise public awareness about the importance of trees and the need to protect them.
As in previous years, this year too, on the occasion of Harela, the renowned folk festival of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, tree plantation drives will be organized at various locations under the banner of the Samoon Foundation.
We appeal to all well-wishers for their support. If you are unable to participate physically in this initiative, you can still contribute by sponsoring a tree in your own name or in the name of a family member. A donation of just ₹250 will help plant one sapling.

Tree Plantation Drive Launched Under the “Trees Are Our Lifeline” Campaign
The Samoon Foundation inaugurated its goal of planting 1,000 saplings under the campaign “Trees Are Our Lifeline” by planting a Belpatra sapling in the sacred premises of Maa Surkanda Temple and distributing and planting 125 fruit and fodder saplings in Gram Panchayat Manjoli.
Local residents planted the saplings provided by the Foundation on their private land and pledged to nurture and protect them until they grew into fully developed trees. The program was inaugurated by Mrs. Haripriya Jardhari, Anganwadi Worker, who raised awareness among villagers about the importance of trees and the responsibility of caring for them.
The event was attended by members of the Samoon Foundation, including Mr. Jitendra Jardhari, Mr. Shanti Prasad Joshi, Mr. Virendra Jardhari, and Mr. Manveer Kandari. Also present were environmentalist Mr. Vijay Singh Jardhari of the Save Seeds Movement, Anganwadi Worker Mrs. Haripriya Jardhari, Assistant Ms. Anita Kandari, Mr. Gambhir Singh Jardhari, Pradhan Representative Mr. Hukam Singh Jardhari, President of the Mahila Mangal Dal Mrs. Sushila Jardhari, Deputy Pradhan Mrs. Kavita Jardhari, along with village women, youth, and other community members.
The participants appreciated the initiative taken by the Samoon Foundation and expressed their gratitude for its efforts toward environmental conservation.
