Plantation Drive 2022 - Plantation Of 1000 Saplings

It is the duty of every citizen to plant at least one sapling in their lifetime and nurture it until it grows into a tree. Today, driven by selfishness, we cut down trees but forget to plant new ones, which is why the problem of global warming is becoming increasingly severe day by day.

"Pedon Se Hai Rishta Hamara" (Our Bond with Trees) Campaign

Embracing tree plantation as their core responsibility and building a lifelong bond with nature, the members of the Samoon Family plant 1,000 saplings every year under the "Pedon Se Hai Rishta Hamara" initiative. With the active cooperation of local villagers, the foundation inspires and encourages both villagers and students to look after these saplings until they grow into full trees, while also raising awareness about the vital importance of trees and conservation.

Like every year, plantation drives will be carried out across various locations in Uttarakhand under the banner of the Samoon Foundation. This year's drive will kick off on July 25th—on the death anniversary of Shri Dev Suman Ji—at the Government Intermediate College, Munnakhal. Following this, plantation drives will be conducted across various Gram Sabhas (villages) in collaboration with the locals, alongside raising environmental awareness among the communities.

We humbly appeal to everyone for your support. If you are unable to join us physically for this event, you can still contribute by donating a sum of ₹250/- per tree to plant a sapling in your name or the name of a family member. The Samoon Family will plant the sapling on your behalf and will definitively share the photograph with you.

Tree Plantation Campaign – "Pedon Se Hai Rishta Hamara"

Continuing its commitment to environmental conservation, the Samoon Foundation successfully carried forward its annual "Pedon Se Hai Rishta Hamara" campaign by planting nearly 1,000 saplings across different parts of Uttarakhand. The initiative was organised with the active participation of local villagers, students, and volunteers, who also pledged to care for the saplings until they matured into trees.

The campaign was inaugurated on 25th July, the death anniversary of Shri Dev Suman Ji, at Government Intermediate College, Munnakhal. In the days that followed, plantation drives were conducted in several Gram Sabhas in collaboration with local communities. Along with planting trees, the foundation also spread awareness about environmental protection, inspiring people to adopt tree planting and conservation as a shared responsibility.
