To empower Mr. Laxman, a person with a disability, and help him become financially independent, the Samoon Foundation supported him in establishing a small shop so that he could earn a sustainable livelihood for himself and his family.
As part of this initiative, the Foundation provided financial assistance of ₹4,800. On his request, weighing scales were also purchased and handed over to him by Samoon Foundation members Mr. Chandra Mohan Kotiyal and Mr. Vijay Mohan Panyuli.
Rather than offering one-time donations, the Samoon Foundation focused on creating sustainable livelihood opportunities by helping people become self-employed. This approach enabled beneficiaries like Mr. Laxman to become self-reliant and reduce their dependence on others for their basic needs.
