In the remote hills of Uttarakhand, access to quality education remains a challenge for many rural communities. Samoon Foundation has been serving the region for 15 years, focusing on bright, deserving students who come from economically vulnerable families. We invite you to sponsor a child’s education across Osla and other rural areas of Uttarakhand—either by covering a portion of their yearly costs or by funding their complete education for one academic year. Your support can unlock consistent schooling, uniforms, books, and the essential teaching resources that empower a child to dream big and build a brighter future.

How you can sponsor

  • Partial sponsorship: Rs 3,000 covers a portion of a student’s annual education costs. You may choose to sponsor multiple children or contribute as a banded gift to support broader needs.
  • Full sponsorship: Rs 6,000 secures a full year of education for one student, including tuition, uniforms, books, and classroom materials, with regular updates on progress and milestones.
  • You will receive updates, a report card, and the option to communicate directly with the family or Samoon Foundation for deeper insights. If you’d like to sponsor, please indicate whether you prefer partial or full sponsorship and share the student’s name, class, and village/district so we can match you with a suitable profile. Your generosity will ensure that no child is left behind and that rural Uttarakhand’s youth can pursue learning with dignity and hope.

Samoon Foundation had been serving the remote hills of Uttarakhand for 15 years, focusing on bright and deserving students from economically vulnerable families. The foundation had launched a scholarship programme for underprivileged students in rural hilly areas, selecting 41 students in its first batch from over 100 applicants for annual scholarships while seeking sponsors to connect donors directly. It had also invited supporters to sponsor a child’s education in Osla and other rural areas by covering either a portion or the full annual cost. A contribution of ₹3,000 covered part of a student’s yearly education expenses, while ₹6,000 funded a full year, including tuition, uniforms, books, and classroom materials, along with regular progress updates. Sponsors received updates, report cards, and the option to communicate directly with the family or Samoon Foundation. Those interested in sponsoring were asked to choose between partial or full sponsorship and provide the student’s name, class, and village/district to facilitate the matching process, ensuring rural children could continue their education with dignity and hope.
