Samoon Foundation – Code of Conduct

1. Introduction

This Code of Conduct outlines the values, principles, and standards that guide the behaviour of all individuals associated with Samoon Foundation, including employees, volunteers, board members, consultants, and partners. All stakeholders are expected to adhere to this code in all activities and interactions, internally and externally.


2. Mission Alignment

All actions and decisions must support and reflect the mission and objectives of Samoon Foundation—serving marginalized communities through education, skill development, health, environment, and sustainable development initiatives.


3. Integrity and Honesty

- Act with honesty, fairness, and transparency always.

- Avoid misrepresentation, false claims, or misleading communication.

- Maintain accountability in financial and programmatic matters.


4. Compliance with Laws

- Adhere to all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, including those related to child protection, anti-corruption, FCRA, and NGO registration requirements.

- Ensure compliance with grant terms, partner agreements, and donor expectations.


5. Respect and Inclusion

- Treat all individuals with respect, dignity, and empathy, regardless of gender, religion, caste, disability, age, sexual orientation, or socio-economic status.

- Promote diversity and foster an inclusive and safe working environment.


6. Protection of Beneficiaries

- Ensure the safety, dignity, and rights of all beneficiaries, especially vulnerable groups like children, - - women, and persons with disabilities.

- Strictly prohibit any form of abuse, exploitation, or harassment.

Follow a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment or misconduct.


7. Conflict of Interest

- Avoid personal interests that conflict with the mission or reputation of the Foundation.

- Disclose any potential conflict of interest in financial, procurement, hiring, or partner-related decisions.


8. Confidentiality

- Respect the confidentiality of sensitive organizational data and personal information of staff, donors, and beneficiaries.

- Do not share internal documents or communication without proper authorization.


9. Financial Responsibility

- Use funds, grants, and donations responsibly, only for intended programmatic purposes.

- Maintain clear records of financial transactions and undergo regular audits.


10. Transparency and Accountability

- Commit to transparent reporting of activities, impacts, and finances to stakeholders.

- Be open to feedback, audits, and evaluations, and take corrective action where needed.


11. Responsible Communication

- Represent Samoon Foundation professionally in all public communications, including media and social media.

- Ensure that any statements made on behalf of the Foundation are authorized and factually accurate.


12. Environmental Responsibility

- Minimize environmental impact in program planning and execution.

- Promote sustainable and eco-friendly practices wherever possible.


13. Reporting Misconduct

- Encourage the reporting of any violation of this Code in good faith.

- Protect whistleblowers from retaliation.

- Investigate complaints promptly and impartially and take appropriate action.
