  • Bridging the Digital Divide for Rural Youth and Women:

The goal of this project is to provide affordable, inclusive, and market-relevant digital education that equips underprivileged youth and women with employable skills. SCTI ensures that no child or learner is left behind due to financial limitations or lack of access to quality computer education.

    Key Objectives:

Build digital literacy and job-ready skills among rural youth.

Ensure equal participation of women and girls in technology training.

Provide free learning opportunities for orphans and children from poor families.

Encourage self-employment and freelance careers through digital platforms.

  • Why Digital Literacy is Crucial in Rural Uttarakhand:

In many parts of rural Uttarakhand, students from low-income families have little or no access to digital education. Private institutes charge high fees, making computer education out of reach for most. As a result, young people remain unprepared for competitive job markets. Women and girls face additional cultural and social barriers to joining technical training programs.

Samoon Computer Training Institute (SCTI) was established to address these gaps. By offering structured digital education at nominal or no cost, SCTI makes quality computer training accessible, ensuring marginalized communities can keep pace with technological advancements.

  • Key Activities Under SCTI Project:
    1. Computer Training Courses
