Current Socio-Economic Status of the Area and Target Group:
Osla village, located
in the Govind National Park of Uttarkashi district, is one of the last
inhabited villages of India near the Indo-Tibet border. The area lacks roads,
electricity, healthcare, and communication facilities.
Samoon Adarsh
Vidyalaya (SAV), established in 2021, now provides free, quality education to
nearly 100 children annually. While the school building has been completed, there
is no toilet or washroom facility available. Currently, students are forced
to go to the open area, which is unsafe, unhygienic, and against the dignity of
children.
To ensure proper
sanitation, health, and inclusivity, construction of 3 toilets (boys, girls,
staff) and 3 washrooms urgently required.
